"The price of gold may reach US$2,000 per ounce within two years.Malaysia Nanban quoted Habib Jewellers managing director Datuk Meer Sadik Habib as saying the price of gold would "definitely" rise in the short-term although there could be some adjustment.

However, he said over the long term, the price would increase due to the weaker US dollar and the ongoing demand for the commodity. Meer said many countries were also keeping gold reserves, with India and China holding some US$2 trillion worth." Quoted from The Star, Thursday 11 November 2010
